Increasingly nature is something that we do not experience directly.  A bird might fly into our window, a deer may run in front of our car, but the landscape of today is largely one of our own creation.  At the same time, our knowledge about thelandscape that we never see is ever increasing.  TV documentaries, information on the web and even movies bring us images of the last wild places on the planet.

The MANaged Landscape explores the ways that we experience the landscape of today and possibly the future.  Through video and print images, the truthfulness of which are questionable, we are presented a window on a world that suggests a possible future for our planet, with rusting structures and sparse signs of life, but with the innocent fascination that we hold for both nature and technology.
